Whether you love creating or you don’t, come and play with us.  The focus is on expression not perfection.  Come and explore and discover how to pray using felt pens, colored pencils and/or watercolors.

Dec. 2:  Praying a word of scripture in color

We will explore the practice of praying in color in tandem with lectio divina.

Lectio divina is a way of reading scripture that is reflective, meditative, receptive, and responsive.  We will drop into our heart centers and listen to a short passage.  We will listen for a word that will nourish us, challenge us, transform us, or something we can grow into.  Then we will savor those words and listen to how the Spirit is inviting us to respond.

Note that lectio is not a Bible-study but rather an ancient practice of praying with the scriptures that understands scripture can be a meeting place for a personal encounter with the Spirit.

Dec. 9:  Praying with Mandalas

The mandala is a sacred form used in many traditions as a tool for centering and prayer.

Whether you use this to help you quiet your mind, center your heart or express your prayers, this spiritual practice will leave you relaxed and connected.

Dec. 16: Praying with Wisdom Cards

Today we will play with collage as we create 3 wisdom cards. After we create our cards, we’ll simply be with what emerged.  Then we will pray and journal in response to what was stirred.

Led by WayPoint's Director, Sue Rodgers

Cost:  $60 for all 3 classes, December 2, 9, and 16

REMINDER: To attend in person, you must be fully vaccinated.
